Description
This is a 2900 silver plated Willson Euphonium. The condition of the horn is absolutely fantastic for being used. It has minor dents here and there. The bottom bow has some shallow side dents that could easily be removed nothing on the guard. Nothing major at all! The bell is free of any wrinkles or past repairs. The valves are pristine with all plating intact. The slides and all the caps move freely. The sound of this horn is what you would expect from a handmade Swiss instrument. Full, colorfull and rich. The horn is very easy to play!!! The mouthpiece receiver is for British shank. You can get these mouthpieces from Dennis Wick, Schilke, and many other top brands. I however never spent the time to do so. I made a mouthpiece adapter to play small shank that simply fits inside the horns adapter which will be included with a Bach mouthpiece. The case unfortunately that I got with it was a used Yamaha case and will be good enough to protect the horn although I would invest in a better one when you can. Being primarily a Tuba and Trumpet player I never really use this horn. I just got it and now am passing it on too a lucky person who will use it. I did however clean the horn, polish the tarnish off, make an adapter, and get all the valve caps and slides freed by a professional music repairman. All threadings are intact and without damage if your wondering. This is a great horn and ready to play the moment you get it.
