VINTAGE 1953 Pan American French Horn by Conn Model 58D   Serial # 258979 Single French Horn with both F and Eb Tuning Slides   This horn was followed by the Conn 14D.  It has some bell crinkle, a few very small dents and some missing laquer, as shown in the photos.  It is in good playing condition, but the mouthpiece (Connstellation) needs to be relaquered or replaced.   Molded case is solid with good hinges, latches and handle.  There is a small crack (shown in pic) about 2" long on one side of the case.  Lining is in good condition and shows very little wear.   Paper Conn label (shown in pic) stuck to plush black case lining is a neat vintage touch! Our price for this vintage instrument is $169! We continue to list band items (instruments--new and vintage, mouthpieces, cases, etc.), percussion, electronics, and miscellaneous music store items left over from the sale of our small town, family owned music store in January.  Auctions will  continue off and on through the fall until it is all gone.   THIS FALL WE ARE FOCUSING ON NEW, NAME BRAND STUDENT-LINE BAND INSTRUMENTS (including Ludwig snare kits).  PLEASE PASS THE WORD TO BAND PARENTS!    Click on "view seller's other items" to see more of our excess inventory auction.   We also have print and recorded music listed on half.com at:  http://shops.half.ebay.com/cgmusic2007   SHIPPING CHARGES INCLUDE INSURANCE! Please contact us with questions.
