The Cavalry cornet was catalog listed as the Military Model and was designed to be played with one hand. This cornet plays great in all registers. All sides pull with very good compression.The tone is rich and mellow. Bell size is 4 1/2", weight is 36 oz., and the bore size is .448". There is a very small damaged area towards the bell flair that does not affect the intonation of the horn and can be easily repaired. See listed photo.The Cavalry model is a very rare horn as we have only documented two within the last seven years. This is one of the two. The horn comes with a case although not original. Serial number is 23637 which is very low indeed. Please ask questions before bidding. All sales are final.
