The valves still have good plating and compression. There are no major dents on this fine vintage cornets, only a few tiny dings.  This cornet has a beautiful, sweet, mellow sound, that would be perfect for any brass band or solo cornet literature. On the bell is stamped: F. BESSON "Prototype" 198 EUSTON ROAD LONDON * ENGLAND C. FISCHER 6.4th Av. N.Y. SOLE AGENT U. STATES. We have looked all over this cornet, and cannot find a serial number anywhere. Maybe this cornet doesn't have a serial number since it was a prototype.
