The valves And Valve casings have been lapped and polished with a solution of light machine oil and pumice. The valves are very fast and smooth. The nickle plating on the valves are 100% intact. The BEST feature of this horn is the sound. It has a full mellow sound. Unmuddeled in the lower register and absolutely sings in the higher register. I had no idea removing the old chipped lacquer would make such a difference in the sound,  but now I am a believer. The pads, corks and springs are new It has one dent in the crook (see photo) other than that there are no dings whatsoever. This instrument was manufactured at the F.E. Olds and Son plant, in Fullerton CA, April 1976 The entire instrument has been reconditioned by hand and hand waxed by me. A Olds mouthpiece is included. It's prettybeat up, but the rim is smooth and it performs fine. There is NO CASE for the horn. I played this trumpet for three hours at a recent Vererans Day festival and it performed flawlessly.
