Description
Scherzer Rotary Piccolo TrumpetModel 8111 (A/Bb Lacquer)Top of the line Professional $4895 List PriceAbsolute MINT Condition!Includes 4 leadpipes, locking case, and mouthpieceHere's your chance to get a top-of-the-line piccolo trumpet for a thousand dollars below the cheapest internet price. I bought this pic new just a few years ago from Woodwind Brasswind and it hasn't been played very much. It is still in the same beautiful condition as the first day I picked it up. I play more commercial music these days and not as much piccolo anymore. Plus, I just bought a new flugel! So, I'm selling this pic way below what it's worth to be sure it sells quickly. In case you are not familiar with the Scherzer rotary piccolo, this is one of the most top-of-the-line piccolo trumpets in the world. I absolutely love the pure, clear tone it gets. And there are no surprises with the intonation - very consistent throughout the registers. This instrument is hard to find and only available in a few places in the US. WWBW's price is $3,900 and it retails for $4,900. All Meister Johannes Scherzer trumpets are hand crafted in Germany. See below for links to the factory website. This piccolo is a .409" bore with a 4" bell, which makes it an excellent baroque/solo pic. It comes with 4 different pipes, so you can pick the one that best suits the situation. You get one A pipe and three Bb pipes. Here is WWBW's copy on the details of the different pipes:This rotary piccolo trumpet comes standard with four leadpipes, 1-A and 3-Bb. The A leadpipe is the standard which is used for converting the instrument to the key of A. The variations of the 3-Bb leadpipes deals with the resistance that each pipe can give a player. The decorative rings on the mouthpiece receiver specify the tapers of the leadpipes: I (M), II (ML), III (L). The I pipe has a tight taper which will give the most resistance. This will allow a player to create a very bright sound and also it will help the high register speak more clearly. The II pipe has a standard, more common taper which will help in all of the registers of the piccolo trumpet. The III pipe has a more open taper, which offers the least amount of resistance to a player. This pipe will create an open feel with a full rich sound.Product page: http://www.wwbw.com/Scherzer-Meister-Johannes-Scherzer-Rotary-Valve-Bb---A-Piccolo-Trumpet-i19338.musicScherzer trumpets page: http://www.scherzer-trumpets.com/Here's what you getScherzer A/Bb Rotary Piccolo Model 81114 LeadpipesB&S 7E MouthpieceOriginal locking case with keysAll packed securely and shipped quicklyYou will not be disappointed with the condition of this instrument.
