I purchased it new at Woodwind and Brasswind in 2002. The silver plating is 99% intact, and all of the slides and rotors move freely. There are two small spots on the bell and on the adjacent tubing where I had a brace moved, but they aren’t visible in the pictures. The large bore size makes it sound like much larger 5/4 tubas. There are two different slides for the fourth valve. This horn is capable of producing a huge, rich sound in all registers. The low range on this tuba is MONSTROUS. The current version of this model  in lacquer (the silver is no longer in production) is going for $8200 new on Woodwind Brasswind, and the new case is selling for $330.Feel free to ask any questions.
