Description
Harrelson HT10 Prototype Bb Trumpet - Regular Price $3695.00 - NO RESERVE! This HT10 Prototype was designed specifically for all around playing. This model is suitable for all settings requiring a good blend with conventional instruments including jazz combo, big band, symphonic band, quintet and large orchestra. The sound of this horn is medium and can be tinted dark with a deep cup mouthpiece or bright with a lead/shallow mouthpiece. If you currently play a Monette, Taylor or Eclipse, then seriously consider the HT10 prototype as a major upgrade to your current equipment. There is no model in the Bach, Schilke or Yamaha lines that is comparable to this trumpet. Built on the #1 leadpipe (medium open/medium bright) and the #1 bell (focused/clear/medium open), this horn requires less air volume much like the 8310Z but with a much bigger sound and greatly increased SWE. Lip slurs from low G to triple g (above double high c) are clean and smooth requiring less than average air volume. If you're playing a Schilke tuning bell, the V-Raptor or a Bobby Shew 6310Z or 8310Z, then you seriously need to check out the HT10. The HT prototype was built on a high quality monel valve block with a #1 bell, 4-inch valve casing brace, high-efficiency medium air volume leadpipe #1 and 5/8" receiver. Harrelson SWE 3/8" bottom caps, top caps and finger buttons provide solid attacks and excellent audible feedback to the player. The "HT10" logo is engraved on the second valve casing and "7-17-08" is stamped on the valve casing brace. HT10 designates that this is the 10th HT Prototype trumpet built. No case or mouthpiece is included. The retail price of this prototype is $3695 based on the time required to build this unique one of a kind design. There is no reserve on this horn and the starting price is very low. You'll be inspired to make music every day!How is improved efficiency possible?Jason Harrelson has revitalized the research and development of trumpet physics and applied his high efficiency designs to every Harrelson Trumpet. By reducing the energy loss in the standing wave, response, tone, dynamics, slotting, range and endurance are greatly improved. Standing Wave Efficiency (SWE) is the term coined by Harrelson which describes the efficiency of an instrument. The higher the SWE, the better the horn. The Bravura is designed with higher SWE than any conventional factory-built trumpet and almost every custom hand-built trumpet available today. If this seems impossible, then consider what science has done for other industries in the past 50 years. Automobiles get better fuel mileage AND have more power than ever before and computers and cell phones are smaller, faster and more powerful every month. Science does apply to every aspect of life INCLUDING trumpets and the science of trumpet playing. Play-test a Harrelson Bravura and see for yourself that efficiency will change your playing immediately.Harrelson Trumpets is a leading manufacturer of world class trumpets and accessories. Jason Harrelson is a working professional trumpet player, inventor and machinist pushing trumpet design to a new level. He began researching trumpet acoustics in 1996 and has since improved many aspects of trumpet design which increase the overall Standing Wave Efficiency (SWE) of the instrument. Harrelson Trumpets are more efficient, easier to play and sound better by incorporating SWE technology into the design and manufacturing process.
