Description
IF YOU'RE TIRED OF LOSING AN AUCTION IN THE LAST SECONDS USE "BUY IT NOW" FOR ONLY $1425! HN White KING SILVERTONE (SILVER SONIC) CORNET VINTAGE - 1934 JUST RESTORED TO LIKE NEW CONDITION! All matching serial numbers on horn and valves! YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND METAL USED IN A VINTAGE HN WHITE CORNET! This super vintage cornet is ready to be an everyday player. You'll fall in love with the tone and response of this classic instrument. The valves are like new, fast and smooth like only an HN White King can be. The solid sterling silver bell with gold interior gives a wonderful sound with plenty of gorgeous overtones. The tone will never crack with a Solid Sterling Silver Bell! SilverTone was the name used in the 1930’s and 40’s for the Sterling Silver Bell instruments and was King’s top of the line and widely considered to be the finest cornet ever made! The name was changed to Silver Sonic around 1950. It has a .458 medium bore and a 4.625” bell. Serial number is 163XXX which dates it to around 1934. A vintage short shank Conn 4 mouthpiece and a 1930’s vintage King Deluxe Woodshell case in excellent condition are included. A custom made 1st valve thumb saddle was added for modern playing. This is not your typical used instrument. It has been taken apart, dents removed, carefully reassembled, highly polished and a new baked lacquer finish applied! It looks and plays like new! The restoration was done by a respected local shop with over 40 years experience in woodwind and brass instrument restorations and repairs. Some of their employees worked at the H.N. White and King factories in Cleveland and Eastlake, Ohio. I have personally used this company for over 8 years for my band members and myself. I had this shop overhaul and silver plate my “baby” – a 1971 Besson euphonium and for me that’s like trusting someone to operate on your kid. (I’ve had the horn longer than my kids!) It really looks great and actually plays better than when I bought it new in college. AN OUTSTANDING CLASSIC PROFESSIONAL CORNET!! A REAL PLAYER – A GREAT COLLECTOR’S ITEM! DON’T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY!!! A special thanks to Chris and the hnwhite web site for making catalog pages and information available to eBay sellers. TERMS OF SALE: USA SALES ONLY. SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS. *PayPal ONLY PLEASE* Feel free to ask questions before you buy. Items are always available for local inspection and pickup. Please read the feedback from my past customers and buy with confidence! Sold AS IS - NO RETURNS This cornet is guaranteed to be as described. I take great care to make sure you are receiving a good quality instrument and to describe it accurately. The pictures tell the story. I personally play everything I sell, so there’s nothing to worry about. I’m a band director and professional musician playing tuba to trumpet and everything in between. If I wouldn’t have it in my house, I won’t send it to yours! I’ve just collected too many instruments and other "horn stuff", between the community band that I direct (plus 3 others I play in – yes, I’m a little crazy!) and 2 kids that played in band in school. It’s time to “thin the herd”, so I’ll be listing some more instruments and “horn stuff” soon. UPDATE: Thanks to all who have bought “stuff from my closet”. This has gone so well, that I’ve opened an Ebay store and will be looking for nice items (mostly band instruments and “horn stuff”) to offer for sale on Ebay as well as selling for band members and friends. If there is something you’d like, just email me with your request and I’ll try to find it for you. Email - jrobinson52@zoominternet.net Please note: This item is also for sale locally. I will have to end the auction early if it sells locally. SHIPPING TERMS: Shipping will be UPS, so I must have a street address - NO PO BOXES! S&H to the US is $ 25.00 including insurance to continental US. EMAIL FOR COST TO SHIP TO CANADA (Alaska and Hawaii will be extra – email me for correct charges before paying) Please note that S&H means shipping and handling. This covers more than just postage. It includes postage (or UPS charges), insurance, delivery confirmation, packaging materials and time, etc. My charges are not the highest on eBay or the lowest. They are usually about average or less than the average price compared to other like items shipped on eBay. I'll try to ship within one business day or same day that payment is received THANKS AND GOOD LUCK!
