PRESENTS : BACH STRADIVARIUS C TRUMPET MODEL 229 / BLACKBURN 1B LEADPIPE CL LARGE BORE SILVER FINISH PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE BUYING : Up for INSTANT BUY NOW ! Bach Stradivarius C trumpet with the serial number from 1980s.This is CL .462 ( Large bore ) with most wanted 229 bell model and has Blackburn leadpipe type 1B. Serial Number #292064 places the date of manufacture around 1987. This horn has brass valve guides and custom features such as - Amato Water Key on the third valve slide and a Blackburn Louisville lead pipe. The Blackburn custom lead pipe makes switching back and forth from a B flat to the C trumpet more easy. It also makes the horn feel more like a B flat while maintaining the unmistakable timbre of a C trumpet. It appears to me that horn was silver plated again after it was converted so engravings faded slightly but those are still readable and you cannot see any solder marks + this horn will really reward you by how it plays so you should not really care about slightly faded engravings. There are also three rings which make holding this horn more secure. The only non silver part is the tuning slide which is lacquered. All of the slides pull easily, and the first and third slides are, like the valves which are smooth and fast. Also three are felts instead of rubbers on the top of the top caps so action is more quiet. The pistons show no wear ( see photo ) Compression is excellent and this horn really sings. This is not a brand new horn and it has some age on it but not really silver wear. There are normal scratches and few minor pings around ( no dents ) one would expect. On the end I tell you this ! If you want to own a great C trumpet this is the one and you won`t need to buy any other C horn after this one SO DON`T MISS IT !
