The Selmer Paris Chorus 80J Bb trumpet is the model played by jazz great Terell Stafford. This model is offered in the United States in lacquer, brushed matte lacquer and silver plating only. The trumpet at auction is in rare gold plating, which is offered only in Europe and is virtually impossible to find in the United States. The silver plated model is currently offered on the Musicians Friend website for $3,279.00. The gold plated model, if available, would exceed $4,000.00 The condition of the horn is impeccable. Gold plating is 100%. Valve compression is 100%.  The valve action is flawless.  All slides move easily and properly.  There are no dents.  The horn is virtually indistinguishable from brand new.  The trumpet is a dream to play and produces a gorgeous sound in all registers.  The auction includes the original Selmer case (including shoulder straps not shown in the photos) which, by itself, lists for over $500.00.  The auction does not include a mouthpiece.
