Allora is made by the B & S (Challenger) company from Germany. This horn is no longer made, and for the life-of-me, I have no idea why. It is an exceptionally well-built horn and a great player. It is essentially a copy of Bach's 183 Strad model horn, but I played a Bach Strad 183 for years and this horn plays better in tune, and easier upstairs. It doesn't close down like my Strad did. The valves and everything about this horn are top-notch. It includes a third-valve trigger and it works well. This horn is really a great player.I played all the flugelhorns available at WWBW before purchasing this flugel. With the exception of the Kanstul, no other flugelhorn played as well. Certainly not the Yamahas, the Bachs or the Conns. This was the best.Condition-wise it is in PERFECT playing condition, but it does have two or three blemishes in the lacquer near the valves on the bell. Picture shows the wear. I play tested three of these horns and picked out the best one, although all three played nearly the same. B & S had a GREAT horn here -- I have no idea why they quit building it. I am selling it because I got a chance to buy a Kanstul -- honestly, I can't say the Kanstul plays any better -- I just want a Kanstul.No disappointments with this horn. It is a magnificent player at a low price.
