Owned by MCA Recording Artist and Bandleader Omar Perkins. He and his Orchestra wrote and recorded 100's of songs in the 20's and 30's. Played for the President of the United States, Al Capone, Bugsy Malloy and many other people around the world. It was said, Omar was Al Capone's Favorite and would have Omar sit with him at clubs he played at. Omar was an accomplished Trombone and Banjo player (see photos). Up until his death in 1987, He played all his instruments. This is his Trombone that he carried with him since the 20's. I have pictures of Omar playing this Trombone, pictures of the Band, MCA recording contracts, Orchestra pictures, 78 rpm records and Band and Orchestra gig Advertisements. This Beautiful Original 38H Artist Ballroom Trombone is dated 1928. Serial # 250837. Has the rare 7" Brass Bell and the Rarer (working) "In Slide Tuning Mechanism. This is a medium bore # 2 1/2 Brass and Silver Profesional Trombone. Comes with Vincent Bach (NEW YORK MADE) #11 (not 11C) Mouthpiece. Also comes with Original Conn Silver cleaning rod.
