The overhaul includes the following: I chemically clean the instrument - inside and out. This removes all the old build-up inside. I remove all the dents. I gently buff the entire instrument for the highest "luster" while maintaining the acoustical and structural quality of the metal. I use only the highest quality, instrument grade lacquer in the refinishing process to retain and protect the highly polished metal. I lap in and align the valves to the valve ports for best tonal response.   I have a master of music degree, and 33 years experience as a professional instrument repair technician.  I know what the serious player expects from his instrument's performance. I take great pride in my work, and enjoy giving someone a beautiful instrument that looks great, and plays great. I take just as much care refinishing a student instrument as I do a professional instrument. The price listed is for a complete instrument. Any missing parts that are currently available will be an additional cost. "F" attachment trombones will be $100 extra. I also silverplate instruments. If you want your lacquered brass instrument changed to a silver- plate finish, or the finish on your silver-plated instrument requires a complete replating - the price will be $400. If your silver-plated instrument only needs spot plating on the normal wear areas, the price will be $300 as I can spot plate those areas to blend in beautifully with the rest of the finish.   If you want one or more of your instruments silverplated,  I will send you a PAYPAL invoice with the $100 added for each one you want silverplated.  Then you just click & pay. I offer the satin (sand) finish with bright highlights (with or without lacquer).
